THE EVIDENCE

Know what the numbers mean.

Official facts

2027 syllabus, fixed paper allocations and labelled institute cutoff records.

Historical subject trends · provisional

2015–2026 averages use published year-level classifications. The heatmap shows 2021–2026. Values are rounded to the nearest whole mark; halves round up.

Topic estimates

Topic marks are possible ranges when tested. Exact chapter recurrence has not been audited across every session. A High tag is a study recommendation, not “guaranteed every year”.

Admission targets

75–80+ marks and AIR below 500 are preparation goals. Institute figures are scores out of 1,000 with different selection stages; they do not guarantee an offer.

Live checklist coverage

Checked topic ranges are summed with planning caps: Maths including DM 13, remaining CS 72, GA 15. These caps limit overlap; this remains a coverage estimate. Hours never award marks.

Practice and source attribution

Topic mappings group related syllabus concepts. GatePlus originals are labelled separately from sourced official-paper questions. Counts describe available practice, not predicted exam marks. Original paper ownership and official source attribution remain in Tests & practice.
