10. Study companion and alert inbox

Pico uses your saved study progress in this browser to suggest tasks and reminders. It does not send your notes to an AI service. Companion preferences sync with your private study settings. The latest 30 alerts and delivery schedule are stored only in your account’s browser namespace on this device. They do not follow you between devices. Pico calculates roadmap, revision and daily-goal suggestions locally from already-loaded progress; it makes no AI API calls or additional database polling requests. Study reminders are scheduled about every 30 minutes while the site runs. Quiet hours are optional; the previous automatic 23:00–07:00 default is removed unless saved as an explicit schedule. Custom quiet hours, snooze and companion mute remain available. Alerts received in a background tab are retained in the inbox and the latest is presented when you return. Browser notifications require your permission and are available only while the site is running; closed-site push is not enabled. Chat message search searches only messages already loaded in your browser. Pico personal commitments are stored under your account’s local browser namespace on that device; they are not included in cloud preparation sync. Remove a commitment inside Pico or clear the corresponding browser data. The standalone focus sprint is held in memory and does not award XP. Daily welcomes and hourly companion appearances, their delivery timestamps and a short cross-tab lease are stored only on this device. Companion mute, quiet hours, snooze and reduced motion are respected. Automatic appearances wait while a test, study dialog or text editor is active. Roadmap pacing uses your selected target, dates, preparation stage and saved study totals in this browser. Base-hour choices, the optional strict/normal missed-time rule and daily target records are included in your existing private plan sync. Strict mode adds unfinished recorded time to the next day; normal mode does not. Workload and daily-hour guides do not predict exam marks. A breathing animation is a voluntary visual cue and makes no health claim. Pico’s visual dialogue is revealed quickly, word by word. Fast, relaxed and instant text-speed preferences are saved only on this device. Optional pointer-follow and drag controls use cursor positions temporarily in memory to animate the character; these positions are not stored or sent to a server. High-fives, gestures and the optional three-star play break do not award study XP. The flight entrance can be skipped, automatic appearances can be muted, and reduced-motion preferences are respected. No microphone, location, speech recognition or external AI service is used by Pico.

Test analysis and Pico sound

Question responses, recorded active question time, optional confidence labels, mistake categories and reflection notes are stored with your existing private attempt history and included in its backups. Breakdowns and retake comparisons run in the browser, with no additional analytics polling. CSV and printable reports are generated on your device; keep exported responses private.

Pico offers optional original synthetic robot chirps, movement, flight and landing sounds generated on your device using Web Audio. Sounds are off until enabled through a user interaction. Volume and sound style are device-local settings. Tests, active lesson playback, hidden tabs, quiet hours and snooze suppress sound. Pico does not access your microphone, record speech or use an external audio or AI service.
