1. The service
GatePlus is an independently operated educational preparation tool. This version offers CS / IT roadmaps, priority topics, study tracking, interactive PYQ simulations, original practice variants, live community chat and linked learning resources. It is not the official GATE website or an IIT / IISc service.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. If you are under 18, use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission and involvement. Do not create an account if you cannot lawfully agree to these terms.
2. Your account and preparation data
Provide accurate account details, keep your credentials secure and sign out on shared devices. Email confirmation may be required. Google sign-in is optional. Do not share credentials or access another person’s account.
Your signed-in study history is separate from guest history and other accounts. Local storage and cloud sync support continuity but are not a substitute for your own backups. Check the save status, export important work and resolve conflicting copies carefully. Clearing browser storage can remove unsynced work.
3. Learning content and estimates
Independent interactive PYQ simulations, original practice, syllabus references, historical classifications and institute evidence are identified in the app. Original practice questions are not official GATE questions. Topic marks ranges, roadmap targets, XP and progress metrics are preparation aids; they are not official assessments.
Content may contain errors or become outdated. Verify exam schedules, syllabi, answer keys, eligibility and admission requirements with the relevant official authority. Report suspected errors to officialgateplus@gmail.com with the paper, year, question or page reference.
4. Fair use of the workspace
Use GatePlus for lawful learning and personal preparation. Do not attack the service, bypass account controls, upload malicious material, automate abusive traffic, impersonate someone, or use it to cheat in a live assessment. Do not republish, sell or bulk extract GatePlus original content without permission.
You retain rights to notes and other material you create. You permit the processing needed to store, sync, display and export the material you place in your account. Do not upload confidential information or material you are not entitled to use.
5. External resources and ownership
The Playlists feature uses YouTube API Services. By using this feature you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Embedded player controls, branding and advertisements remain under YouTube’s control. GatePlus does not claim ownership of creator lessons, thumbnails or titles.
Third-party papers, slides, images, trademarks and linked resources remain the property of their respective owners. Access to a resource does not grant redistribution rights. External sites have their own terms and privacy practices. See Resources & Copyright for attribution and rights requests.
6. Fees and service changes
The features currently offered in this version are free; there is no checkout or paid subscription here. Any later paid offering will show its price, scope and purchase terms before payment. A purchase on another site does not automatically create an entitlement in this app. See our Refund & Cancellation policy.
Features and content may change as the workspace develops. Where practicable, we will provide notice of material service or terms changes. The effective date on this page identifies the current version.
7. Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the service useful and accurate, but uninterrupted availability, error-free content, successful synchronisation and any exam outcome cannot be promised. You remain responsible for your preparation, backups and decisions based on the material.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GatePlus is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
8. Support, restrictions and closure
We may restrict access reasonably where needed to address abuse, security incidents or legal obligations. Contact officialgateplus@gmail.com about an account problem, a dispute or an account-closure request. We may need to verify ownership before acting on private data. The Privacy Policy explains how data requests are handled.
9. Community and XP
Community posts and live chat must comply with the Community Guidelines. You retain rights in your own contributions and grant GatePlus the limited permission needed to store, display and moderate them as part of the service. Do not upload copied question papers, pirated notes, personal data, harassment, spam or unlawful material. Use Report for concerns; you may also contact support by email.
Weekly rankings are preparation aids, not examination ranks. Signed-in reward profiles are automatically enrolled; only pseudonymous public fields are displayed. XP and badges have no cash value, cannot be bought or redeemed, and are not promises of examination performance. Game tiers run from Beginner and Builder through Novice, Apprentice, Practitioner, Specialist, Strategist, Expert, Champion, Master, Legend and Titan. These names are fictional progression titles derived from lifetime XP; they are not admissions guidance, cutoffs, qualifications or institute endorsements. Weekly rankings count only XP earned in the current Monday-to-Sunday week in Asia/Kolkata. Lifetime XP is not reset. Duplicate, fraudulent or abusive activity may be excluded or corrected. Watching YouTube videos, posting, upvoting and manually entering test scores do not earn XP.
10. Pico and preparation reminders
Pico is a progress-based guide that uses your saved records and predefined prompts. It is not an AI tutor, medical service or exam predictor. Daily quests and personal task checkboxes do not grant XP. Its standalone sprint timer is a personal aid; use topic completion or Tests & practice to record eligible XP activity.
Optional synthetic Pico sounds are off until enabled, with volume and style controls on this device. Sound is suppressed during tests, lesson playback, quiet hours, snooze and hidden tabs. Test diagnostics and comparisons are personal review aids; timing categories do not determine ability or predict exam rank. Reminders operate while the site is running and may be delayed by browser background restrictions. Closed-site push is not enabled. Browser notifications require permission. Quiet hours, snooze, companion mute and motion controls are available. Do not rely on Pico as your only reminder for applications or examination deadlines.
A pseudonymous default display profile is created when your signed-in reward account is first used and is automatically included in eligible rankings. You can edit your public alias in Leaderboard settings. Email, private notes and test answers are never published in standings.
